A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

The opportunity to perform in a concert is an exciting, empowering and confidence-building part of the training process. This is where we love to watch our students learn about performance, rehearsals and teamwork while they enjoy the opportunity to showcase their skills in a professionally run production. Concerts are a wonderful way for students to showcase the results of their hard work and for family and friends to join in the pride of their achievement. We love giving all students the chance to perform for their family and friends in this supportive and fun environment and encourage even our youngest and newest performers to be involved.

If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.

Please note: that unfortunately any families with unpaid fees will not be allowed to participate in our concert.

This is without a doubt the highlight of our year and we are giddy with excitement to show you how hard our dancers have been working!

Thank you for taking the time to read all information contained on this site. It should cover any questions you have, if not, please feel free to reach out to one of our team. Hope you are all looking forward to the concert as much as we are!

ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION

All students participate in our End of Year Concert and students work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.

In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. Of course, this is only if it can’t be helped and in line with studio guidelines. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact reception to let us know in advance.

If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.

CONCERT DAY PROCEDURES

DROP OFF & PICK UP

On concert day, all of the students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to have their hair and makeup done and stockings on before being dropped off. Students are required to arrive 30mins before their show time.

During the dropping off times, we ask that one parent/guardian comes with their child into the drop off area (we will have signs pointing you in the right direction).

All students will need to be picked up from the stage after the show. Students will stay in this location.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us.

SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY

To help with student organisation and safety, all students will be put into an allocated 'group’. Please see the "show specific info" on this site and make sure your child knows what group they are in.

As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in to gain access backstage. All backstage helpers will be issued with security passes that are required to be worn at all times. Only Katapult staff and registered parent helpers are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for the concert. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in.
